Unbuilt Spaces designs award-winning digital environments—ranging from multi-user online experiences and spatial websites to conceptual realms captured in videos and images. Founded in 2025 by artist Manuel Rossner, the studio pushes the boundaries of digital architecture and virtual design.
Rossner’s work has attracted an impressive roster of clients and collaborators, including Grand Palais Paris, Kunsthalle Zürich, Hamburger Kunsthalle, Hinge, Highsnobiety, König Galerie x Porsche, H3K Basel, ICC Tokyo, Hyundai Motorstudio Busan, and NRW Forum Düsseldorf.
Recognized as a pioneer in digital architecture, his projects have been widely covered in the media, with features in BBC Radio, It’s Nice That, designboom, 3Sat, ARD, ZDF, Deutschlandfunk, Deutsche Welle, El País, DAMn, Financial Times, FAZ, Die Zeit, monopol magazin, Spike Magazine, and Vogue.
Rossner’s project New Float was awarded the Lovie Gold Award for the best XR Experience in 2024. In 2023, Germany’s leading TV station ARD released the documentary INSPIRED, offering an in-depth look at Manuel Rossner’s creative process as he develops a digital space (Watch in German).
